These are a great alternative to the store bought version. They are very decadent and rich!
3 cups organic shredded coconut
1 ½ cups almond meal
1 cup organic pure maple syrup
1/3 cup organic coconut oil
1 teaspoon organic vanilla
½ teaspoon sea salt
Combine ingredients and mix until well combined. Scoop mixture with a small cookie scoop on to a cookie sheet. Drizzle with chocolate sauce.
¾ cup organic coconut oil, melted on stove top
½ cup organic cacao powder (or baking cocoa)
1 tablespoon organic vanilla
1/3 cup organic pure maple syrup
Combine ingredients and mix well. Whisk sauce until it is smooth. If it is a little bitter, add more sweetener.
With a spoon, drizzle chocolate sauce over almond joys. Allow them to set up in the freezer or refrigerator. Enjoy!
